Who we are
The Tradewinds Aviation Services is the result of the merger in 2005 of two aviation service providers, thereby consolidated over five decades of combined experience in the civil aviation industry in general, and in ground handling and logistics in particular. Our aim was to bring together the best in the industry to create a dynamic and vibrant establishment that has now become the premier indigenous aviation services company in this region. Over the last decade, we have built a formidable enterprise, serving both local and international markets, in the fields of ground handling, logistics and now offering specialised aviation-related careers training.
From our operations base at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi, Tradewinds has stations in Mombasa, Ukunda, Lamu, Malindi and Wajir. We are the sole ground handling provider at Ukunda, Isiolo and Kisumu International Airport, from where we also serve Eldoret International Airport. We now boast over 800 employees, making us one of the leading employers in the industry in this region. Our goal is to consolidate our success locally and to expand into the regional and international arenas.
